so i recently discovered my love for teaching and social justice and I want to major in those things in college. However, I have dedicated my whole life to science and my plan was to major in neuroscience since middle school and genuinely was interested in neuroscience for the longest time until suddenly I realized I was not and couldn't tell them. My parents said I should and I felt obligated to so I never questioned it and never thought about anything else. Now I am a senior and questioning if I even like neuroscience. I feel like its too late to tell my parents that I don't have any interest anymore in neuroscience and since I already started applying to colleges with my future major as neuroscience, it feels a bit late to back out now. Should I double major or just focus on neuroscience?

i’m also a senior and i have some friends in college so i’m pretty sure you can change your major as soon as you enter college, the first/second week is when you are able to choose your classes and that’s also when some people drop or change some classes, change their majors, etc and most colleges even let you stay undecided until the end of your sophomore year so you have more time to figure out what you’re truly passionate about, i promise it’s not too late but if you’re really interested in both then i’d definitely recommend double majoring although it might be a bit stressful
