Last Monday on August 28, 2023 I went to my first day of my senior year of high school. This doesn't seem like the right place to be talking about something that's meant to be so positive, but I suppose it's as good a place as any. My first week of senior year was weird. It was a mix of excitement for getting my first assignments and finally stating yearbook, nervousness since it's my last year and I feel pressure to make it the best, and stress and anxiety since I'm still very self-concious and aware of my body at every waking moment, and I have so much work to do to complete my college application and stay on top of my school work while also participating and trying to feel better about my body. The the thing that helps me most, and the thing that always has, is that it's almost fall and Halloween. I love the start of school, and I especially love that it takes place during the best time of the year. I can't wait for the leaves to start falling and the breeze to start coming in, and for the homecoming football game. I can wait for Halloween day. Nothing can go wrong on Halloween, no matter what happens it's always perfect. I'm so excited, and I reminds me that nothing bad lasts forever and I still have time. <3
